Sampling valve

  • Contact
  • The sampling valve is used to take samples from tanks and pipelines under aseptic conditions. The valve is sterilized in place with alcohol or steam. The seal membrane directly in contact with the product ensures a representative sample, providing safe and repeatable results against secondary contamination.

Working Principle

Before opening the valve, the closing cap must be placed on the upper pipe. When the handle is turned to the horizontal position, the required flow passing through the lower outlet yields the liquid sample. When the handle returns to the vertical position, the valve closes and the handle can be removed if necessary. Aseptic sampling can be obtained from a special valve type with a micro port. By removing the red closing cap, a syringe needle can be inserted through the central channel into the membrane, and aseptic sampling is performed while the valve is in the closed position. After sampling, the valve must be flushed with water or alcohol. Sterilization must be carried out using alcohol or steam.

Design Standards

All valves are available for manual or pneumatic operation. The two outlets are pipes designed in a clip-on configuration. The standard valve is equipped with a clip-on closing cap.
