The Alfa Laval AS-H Iso-Disc filter is a high-purity, reusable media filter for applications such as tertiary filtration, flow treatment, surface water treatment, and other water source reuse. The robust yet simple design handles solids and flows with a small footprint-to-flow ratio.
The performance of the Iso-Disc filter is unique. The filter cloth can capture solids down to 10 microns without requiring multiple filtration stages or trial runs. Two layers of filter cloth allow for easy and thorough backflushing, using filtered water from within the filter plate. If needed, the filter cloth can be replaced and the filter reinstalled in minutes, after which it resumes uninterrupted operation.
The filter operates continuously, with media filtration achieved through gravity, utilizing 100% of the filtration area. Flow from the outside in through the filter cloth provides much finer filtration than screen filtration. All internal components or those in contact with the fluid are made of stainless steel or non-metallic, corrosion-resistant materials. For retrofitting, square or rectangular filter plates easily fit existing tanks and require only a minimum water column of 30 cm.
