The Alfa Laval AS-H Belt Press G2 is a sludge dewatering press suitable for municipal and industrial applications, offering continuous dewatering with two porous belt filters. The key to the G2 belt press's performance is its unique sludge/polymer mixing valve, which thoroughly mixes the polymer into the sludge. As a result, operators obtain higher dry cake sludge and better filtrate quality from the device, with reduced polymer consumption and without the need for any additional coagulation tanks or mixers.
Besides reduced polymer consumption and improved sludge and filtrate quality, other significant benefits offered by the G2 belt press compared to other dewatering techniques include higher volumetric flow and sludge loading, with lower power consumption. For easier and safer operation, belt tension is automatically maintained by the SmartPress™ belt tensioning system.
The Belt Press G2 is available in a sealed design to ensure odor and wastewater leakage are prevented. Features include variable drive technology, an optimized frame design in carbon steel or galvanized stainless steel, radial mesh, and perforated rollers to accelerate the dewatering process.
